Standard 4: Limescale — Safe Treatment Based on Material

A premium hard-water protocol: surface-first steps and strict risk control for stone and plated finishes.

Standard 4 covers limescale and hard-water deposits. The approach starts with material identification—because “universal solutions” can damage stone, coatings and grout.

Separate the surfaces

  • Natural stone: marble/limestone/travertine → neutral pH maintenance.
  • Ceramic/porcelain: wider tolerance, but with controlled use and thorough rinsing.
  • Chrome/stainless: gentle chemistry + mandatory drying.

KUGO protocol

  1. Routine care: neutral cleaner + dry finish.
  2. Targeted treatment: mineral-deposit product only where it is safe.
  3. Rinse: remove all residue.
  4. Dry: final step for a flawless look.

Where natural stone is present, KUGO follows protective steps to preserve polish and surfaces. Send an inquiry to arrange a meeting.
