Standard 6: Windows — Streak-Free Glass with Technique & Tools

A professional standard for flawless glass: clean tools, correct technique and residue control.

Standard 6 covers windows and glass surfaces. A flawless finish comes from clean tools, correct technique and residue control.

Tools

  • A squeegee with quality rubber (no nicks).
  • Microfiber for edges and detailing.
  • A neutral solution at minimal concentration.

KUGO protocol

  1. Check: inspect for grit/dust. If needed, lightly rinse or pre-wipe safely before any squeegee work.
  2. Wetting: even wetting without soaking frames.
  3. S-motion: top-to-bottom with steady pressure.
  4. Clean blade: wipe the rubber after each pass.
  5. Edges: dry corners and edges with a separate dry microfiber.

What we avoid

  • No paper towels for “polishing” (often lint and micro-streaks).
  • No dirty rubber/cloth (creates lines and tails).
  • No dry rubbing over dust or grit.

For large glazing, glass balustrades and difficult-access areas, KUGO organizes a safety-first protocol tailored to the site. Send an inquiry.
